Lambert – St. Louis International Airport, host of the Business Diversity Forum

PBP Champions Diversity at Lambert – St. Louis Business Forum

In March, PBP proudly participated in the Diversity Forum St. Louis at Lambert – St. Louis International Airport. The forum brought together public agencies, contractors, and diverse business owners. Its goal was to strengthen partnerships, share knowledge, and open doors for minority-owned companies. These businesses are seeking growth in the aviation and infrastructure sectors.

As a prime contractor operating nationwide, PBP understands the value of supplier diversity. We believe working with businesses from varied backgrounds sparks innovation. It also improves community representation and delivers stronger, more resilient airport solutions. That’s why we attend forums like this—to engage with minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) in a real and lasting way.

During the event, our team held one-on-one conversations with small business owners. We shared insights about industry expectations, contract opportunities, and growth strategies. We also discussed best practices for capacity-building, procurement, and mentorship.

More importantly, we listened. These events are not only about what we say—but what we learn. For example, some businesses pointed out limited access to larger contracts or strategic support. By understanding these barriers, PBP can improve how we partner with underrepresented vendors.

Our goal is to build long-term relationships, not just check boxes. Through mentorship, training, and open collaboration, PBP is creating a more inclusive supply chain. Diversity isn’t just part of our business—it’s embedded in our everyday approach.

By joining the Diversity Forum St. Louis, we reaffirmed our commitment to economic inclusion. We also deepened our connections with the businesses shaping the future of our industry.
